Eleonor Ryberg

Dr Eleonor Ryberg is a palaeoecologist working with peatland ecosystems. She analyses peat to reconstruct and model past peatland responses to change, to learn more about the present and potential future responses of systems (in terms of vegetation, biodiversity and carbon dynamics) relating to climate change and human activity.
With a background in Quaternary geology and palaeoclimate research, Eleonor completed her PhD in the field of palaeoecology, where she reconstructed peatland vegetation and ecosystem changes over time (reaching as far back as 10,000 years), specifically examining and identifying the driving factors of change
